ICT-CITY - KUPITTAA CAMPUS

The main venue of ISATE 2021 is the ICT-City building in the Kupittaa Campus, located in Turku Science Park.

Visiting address: Joukahaisenkatu 3, FI-20520 Turku, Finland

Turku Science Park is an internationally significant business and research center with several universities, hundreds of companies and a university hospital. The area is undergoing a period of profound change.

A new TUAS campus building, EduCity, will cover an area of almost 30 000 m2 and is one of the most significant new construction projects in Turku currently. EduCity is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

After the launch of the new building at Turku University of Applied Sciences, 40 000 university students from Turku will study in one campus area just right outside the center of Turku.

The Virtual Conference Platform

This year’s conference is built on a versatile platform called Howspace. It is an Al-powered digital collaboration tool.

You will find the program, links to the various sessions, presentations of the keynote speakers and poster exhibition, all on the Howspace platform. The platform works both on desktop and on mobile. The platform will stay open until 30 August, and the program recordings will
remain available on the platform for the conference participants.

Accessing the Howspace platform

You will get a personal login link to access the platform on Thursday 12 August via email. Please do not delete the email with the login link. If you do not receive this login link to your email on 12 August, please check your spam folder just in case. You may also contact info@aboaservices.fi .

On the platform, you may edit your profile information and add your own profile picture, instead of just your initials that appear as a default option. To change your profile picture, click on your initials at the upper right corner > My profile > Change profile image. It is also possible to edit your name when editing the profile.

Parallel sessions organised via Zoom

The parallel sessions as well as the workshops will take place in Zoom. Links to Zoom-meetings will be found on the Howspace platform under each session. Technical instructions for Zoom are available as well.

We recommend that you install separate Zoom software on your computer/device. The individually installed Zoom software provides more functionality for managing and using the meeting.

If you are facing technical difficulties during the event, please send a chat message to helpdesk chat on the virtual symposium platform for assistance, or while in Zoom, ask in the Zoom chat.
